Trends That Didn’t Make Our F/W ’24 Trend Report

Twice a year, our team comes together to collect relevant trends for our seasonal trend reports. We take many factors into account when deciding what trends to highlight, such as their relevancy for our clients, wearability, and how long we think the trend will last. That being said, there were many trends for this coming fall season that we wanted to discuss but didn’t have room for in our trend report. Continue reading to see all the trends we are excited to style this fall!

Sheer!! We love this soft, feminine detail for layering under the chicest blazers or softest knits. Proenza SchoulerChloe, and Ferragamo are a few examples of going sheer but not baring all! C’est chic!

Checks! In every color combination—black and white, mustard and green, red and oatmeal—this print screams fall, and designers from Balmain, Chloe Helmut Lang, Dries Van Noten, and the like all agree that we need this classic print in our Fall line-up.

(Left to right) Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Burberry

This season, designers showcased dramatic fur coats and pops of fur on collars, lapels, sleeves, and fur accessories. We know the debate around fur can be controversial, but some designers are opting for faux fur and shearling for a more sustainable approach. Whether you embrace this trend or not, it’s a playful way to elevate your look for the fall season.

(Left to right) Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Schiaparelli

Suiting!!! In some way, shape, or form. We still love the suit or its look. Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and Schiaparelli all share their twists on the traditional suit.

(Left to right) Dolce & Gabbana, Altuzarra, Loro Piana

Hats! We saw a variety of hat styles all over the runways for Fall/Winter 2024, from bucket hats and Parisian-inspired berets to pillboxes from the 50s. Dolce & Gabbana, Altuzarra, Loro Piana, and The Row were just a few designers that topped off their looks with hats.

(Left to right) Zimmermann, Jacquemus, Christian Dior

Though animal prints never really faded away, we love that they’re having a bit of a moment for fall! The best thing about incorporating this trend into your wardrobe is that they act as neutrals, making them easy to pair with your other versatile classics. They offer a dynamic layer into your look, whether on a large scale like the coats from Christian Dior and this Zimmermann blouse or through a small accessory like these Jacquemus shoes.
