The last few seasons have felt like we were living in the land of neutrals. The craze for those foundational neutrals continues to SHINE, but to our surprise, pops of soft icy blue, buttery yellow, and rich black cherry have been filling the runways. In contrast to the vibrant hues we saw last spring, this season has introduced more delicate and deeper shades. Keep reading to see how we are styling these dreamy colors for the modern woman.
BLAZER | PANT | TANK | SWEATER | HEEL | BAG | EARRING
It’s no secret we love a suit! For our working girl, the full suit is a fun way to integrate one of the key colors for spring: icy blue. Try pairing your icy blue with rich browns, tan, or even black cherry to add warmth and dimension to your look. We did that here by pairing the suit back to a warm latte slingback and rich mahogany bag. For an extra level of style and layering, drape the tan sweater over your shoulders. Not feeling the full suit? Swap the trousers out for a mid-wash denim, but keep the heel for a more casual work environment or happy hour with friends. Conversely, keep the trouser and swap out the blazer for a casual bomber or knit top with a flat or sneaker. The versatility goes on and on and looks so fresh in icy blue! Side Note: If you want to start small and dip your toe into this new color, try with a shoe or small bag.
SWEATER | SKIRT | HEEL | BAG | EARRING
Buttery yellow has not had a shining moment in fashion for quite some time (besides Kate Hudson’s iconic dress in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days), but her moment has finally arrived. Designers like Loewe and Louis Vuitton gave this hue new life and inspired us all to incorporate buttery yellow into our wardrobes. This look ensures confidence in even the most intimidating client meetings. The texture contrast between the structured knit and the satin skirt creates a beautiful juxtaposition. Pair this look with a neutral emotional support bag and you are automatically the chicest in the room!
VEST | TEE | DENIM | FLAT | BAG | SUNGLASSES
For the past couple of seasons, we’ve seen vibrant, rich red everywhere, but it has transformed into a rich black cherry hue. This merlot-like red has already made its way from runways to wardrobes within weeks! We’ve paired this rich black cherry vest with cuffed denim and a tee for an elevated casual look you could wear all weekend. Throw on the matching blazer and a bootie for those chillier spring nights.
