TEAM INSIDER: Summer 2024 Recap

This summer was a busy one for team Wardrobe Therapy! From weddings to international travel, from the Memorial Tournament to the Paris Summer Olympics, we styled it all! Continue reading for a detailed recap of our client-filled summer!

Fun facts:

The average length of an appointment ranges from 2.5-4 hours (per session).

Packing for our clients’ travel is one of the most common jobs for our stylists over the summer.

Summer is the hardest season to dress for (especially in Ohio) because of the heat, inconsistent weather patterns, and non-forgiving summer fabrics.

Our stylists spent a total of 678 hours consulting in our clients’ wardrobes!

On average, each stylist spent 158 hours per month with clients (either doing Style Files, Deliveries, or In-Home Outfittings).

We serviced 338 clients this summer, ranging in all ages, sizes, and lifestyles!

Our retainer program (clients who pay a monthly bill for a set number of hours their stylist dedicates solely to them) skyrocketed this summer! Our stylists spent over 171 hours with retainer clients.

MAY

Our May started with a Mother’s Day Giveaway featuring a few of our favorite local women-owned businesses. Shortly after, Elizabeth and Katie had a blast attending Franklin Park Conversatory’s Annual Hat Day event. Our team gathered to watch the 2024 Met Gala red carpet. We loved discussing the red carpet together! We also got together again for CCAD’s annual Student Fashion Show, where we were on the host committee!

JUNE

We started June by discussing the best tips to keep your jewelry looking brand new with the jewelry expert and owner of Front Street Jewelers, Libby. Elizabeth and Katie then had the honor of attending a lunch-hour meeting with Lagos hosted by Kristie and Steven Lagos at the Columbus Museum of Art! Our bra-fitting trunk show with Lace and Day was a huge success! Don’t worry if you missed this one; we will be hosting Lace and Day in 2025. Towards the end of June, Elizabeth, Ben, Britt, and Iris attended a Women in Business event at the Porsche dealership in Dublin celebrating women entrepreneurs in Columbus. We heard Jeni, owner of Jeni’s Icecream, speak about her experience as a female entrepreneur. We finished the month with another Diamond Cellar holiday shoot styled by Candace and Ben!

JULY

Candace and Ben enjoyed styling husband-and-wife clients for their two-week European trip. Iris and Christine attended Freedom A la Cart’s annual Eat Up Columbus event raising money and awareness to fight human trafficking.

August

August started with our biannual Trend Report meeting, where our team discussed which trends we wanted to highlight for our Fall/Winter 2024 Trend Report. Elizabeth, Katie, and Iris had the pleasure of presenting our styling services to the Luxury Realtors Group while they toured Journal Island. Elizabeth and Iris also attended the Tenspace pop-up with Michael Malul, where they were scent-styled. We wrapped up the summer with our annual family team hang, celebrating our fabulous team and their families!
