NYFW: Spring 2025 Recap & Fall Trunk Show Info!

New York Fashion Week is the pinnacle of American fashion. The inaugural fashion week took place on July 19, 1943, in New York City. The purpose was to provide fashion buyers with an alternative to purchasing from French designers. Over the years, it has become one of the most iconic events in the fashion industry. The Fashion Week events are undeniably inspiring; they push the boundaries of design, break traditional “rules,” and make high fashion feel more accessible. Here are some of our favorite shows from this year’s Spring ’25 NYFW.

Elizabeth

Proenza Schouler

I loved how Proenza Schouler made the Spring show fun and fabulous. Everything felt fresh and cut on a whimsy as if to inspire the consumer to buy because it pulled an emotional heartstring for them! It made us all want to buy now! I loved the inspirational narrative!

Ben and Whitney

Ralph Lauren

It was hard to miss coverage of the Ralph Lauren S/S 2025 show this past weekend. Ralph took his show to the Hamptons and delivered his classic American style at the highest possible level. From the preppy collegiate to the Western details of fringe and belt buckles to the elegant dressing and tailored suits, I was here for it all.

Ralph Lauren always inspires me! Ralph did an excellent job of creating a seamless flow between the tailored pieces he is known for and an unexpected flowy, ethereal vibe! I especially loved the mix of Americana sportswear paired back to a refined luxe sophistication. And the wearability is undeniable. It has me ready to dig into my closet and create these looks with pieces I already own!

Candace

Brandon Maxwell

It’s no surprise that Brandon Maxwell was my favorite. Each season, he continues to level up and evolve, and it is truly beautiful to see! His collections are always classic in nature, but there was a fresh dose of ease to the Spring 2025 collection. Hues of black, grey, and white, with a soft touch of blue and pink. I am forever drawn to the wearability and styling showcased by Brandon Maxwell.

Christy

Tibi

I was super inspired by the Tibi show. Unexpected elements styled together to create looks that felt so fresh yet wearable and attainable! Levels of volume and interesting lengths, playful hosiery, pops of red, and an overall cool vibe intrigued me!

Christine

Sergio Hudson

I loved Sergio Hudsgon’s S/S 2025 collection! Every look felt very classic while maintaining a sense of freshness. The color palettes were very feminine, and the lines were very strong. It was very powerful, glamorous, and sexy. I loved it all!!!
Britt

Simkhai

The Simkhai show was incredible on so many levels. Shown at The Edge in Hudson Yards, Jonathan Simkhai was inspired by the floral lace and texture of his mother’s wedding gown. The lace used for her gown was from his grandfather’s lace mill in Iran, which he unspooled and took with him when he fled during the revolution. The show also landed on his parents’ 52nd wedding anniversary, and he brought his mom out with him on the runway to close. Truly, a spectacular moment for the art and artist. To top it off, the pieces and styling are exquisite.
