TEAM INSIDER: Cool and Not Cool for Fall 2024

We are back with another rendition of Cool and Not Cool, Fall ’24 edition!

Navigating the ins and outs of fashion can be tricky, especially in the world of social media and micro trends. We are constantly being told the items we bought last season are no longer relevant. Luckily, your fashion experts are here with answers and tips for purchasing the right items to ensure you are cool for seasons to come!

For this week’s blog, we are focusing on the essentials. Updating your everyday basics will improve the core of your wardrobe and help make getting ready that much easier.

Knits

KNIT CARDIGAN

Knits are a staple of fall. This season, we are loving a cardigan. Instead of the waterfall cardigan, we are seeing more of the traditional button-down cardigan. We love this one from Jenni Kayne because of its fabulous silhouette; the naturally cinched waist is so flattering. Wear it closed or open; it can be styled so many ways.

Trousers

WIDE LEG TROUSER

The trouser: a classic piece that has been reinvited to reflect various fashion trends through the years. Although various styles are still chic, we urge you to stray away from the paper bag style waist and the tapered leg. Instead, try a wider or straight silhouette. We love these mid-rise trousers from Club Monaco. They are a WT client favorite. If you prefer a higher rise, try these from Vince. Lastly, if you don’t have much use for a traditional work trouser, we love these as a more casual option from Athleta.

Boots

SUEDE BOOTIE

We are firm believers that a great shoe can make an outfit! When updating your fall bootie, look for a square or pointed toe, a less exposed zipper, and a rich color choice.

Check in next week to see which knee-high boots we recommend for this fall and winter!
