Why is it that the day before a cocktail event… we always panic on our dresses (that would definitely work), but decide we need to get something new? I’m currently in this situation. I have tried to blame it on our current weather…but I think I already have made up in my mind that I want something new.
Searching for the perfect cocktail dress can be tricky. So many things to factor in, whether it be wedding attire (you can’t compete with the bride or bridesmaids), a charity event (the anxiety of showing up to an event wearing the same thing as someone else) or a best friend’s birthday bash (how low is too low)?
Daily we search for THE perfect dress for people.. and these are our finds of the day.
Top Favorite Scenarios
Cousin Carrie’s Wedding. Invitation reads: ”Black-Tie Optional”. I love the fluidity of this dress by Diane Von Furstenberg, available at www.barneys.com.

The “After-Work” Charity Event. Attire: Cocktail Chic.
I’m not always the #1 Rebecca Taylor fan. However, this dress is quite charming. I love the detail of the open back on the dress. Quite sophisticated in the front, and sexy in the back.
Available at www.shopbop.com

Cocktail Attire. Benefit for the Fundraiser of your Choice.
For all of the women who no longer love their arms, a complaint that is often heard, this dress by Tracy Reese is a classic. The black/white colorway always looks timeless and the ease of this dress is perfect for after-dinner dancing.
Available at www.eluxury.com

For the babymakers (and even those who aren’t) who have several events to attend this summer and are feeling desperate to find something sophisticated, yet comfortable. Armsale has the most beautiful dress in pale gray.
Available at www.neimanmarcus.com

My Best Friend’s Birthday. Attire: Downtown Girl Chic.
I love this dress..dress it up with bronze grecian sandals.. dress it down with gladiator flats and a denim jacket. So chic.
Available at www.thewardrobecincinnati.com

There are so many beautiful dresses to pick from. I’ve just found mine. I’ll show pics next week…Let us know if you have found yours.
